Redideo Studio helped produce and plan a social media video campaign for an SDSU slate team as part of a broader 8-video rollout built for student elections.
Produced for an SDSU student election slate team, this social media video campaign was built to help introduce the team, communicate key messages, and create a stronger, more consistent presence online.
The project focused on clear messaging, efficient production, and social-first video content designed to support awareness, recognition, and engagement across a fast-moving campaign timeline.
A total of 8 videos were created for the campaign, with 4 selected examples featured below.

Campaign Overview
Student election campaigns move fast, and the content has to do the same.
The goal for this project was to create a set of vertical social media videos that introduced the team, communicated key campaign themes, and helped create a more organized presence online.
Rather than treating each video like a one-off, the focus was on building a connected campaign with a consistent tone, visual style, and message. That meant planning not just for production quality, but also for rollout timing, social media pacing, and how each piece would support the larger campaign.
Pre-Production and Strategy
Before production started, Redideo Studio met with the team to talk through their message, goals, campaign timeline, creative vision, and must-have shots.
That pre-production process helped define what each video needed to do and how the shoot could be structured to get the most useful content in the shortest amount of time.
The team originally wanted drone footage for an Avengers-style hero shot, but drone use was not possible due to SDSU restrictions. Instead of dropping the idea completely, Redideo Studio planned a workaround using a 360 camera to create a dynamic shot that could give a similar dramatic feel without relying on aerial footage.
That kind of production planning matters. Good video strategy is not just about ideas. It is also about adapting those ideas to the location, the timeline, and the practical limits of the shoot while still protecting the intent behind the creative.
On-Location Video Production at SDSU
The on-location shoot at SDSU was built around a streamlined process designed to make the most of the available time.
Since the campaign had a budget to work within and multiple videos to produce, the shoot needed to stay efficient, organized, and flexible without losing energy on camera.
The 360 camera became especially useful during production. It allowed the same shot to be used from different angles later, which helped create more variety in the edits without constantly rebuilding setups or repeating scenes. That made the production day more efficient and helped stretch the value of the footage across multiple final videos.
The overall goal was to move quickly, capture strong visuals, and stay focused on the shots that would be most useful across the larger campaign. That balance helped the team get more out of the production day while keeping the content visually engaging for social media.

Post-Production Process
Licensed music was selected with strong rhythm in mind because the team liked editing with a tighter musical pace and more momentum. That choice helped drive the energy of the videos and gave the campaign a more intentional feel.
Light motion graphics were added to support the message without overwhelming the content. The goal was to keep the edits clean and modern while giving the visuals enough movement and structure to stand out in a vertical social feed.
Timing also played a big role. The videos needed to be ready for the campaign schedule, so the post-production process had to stay efficient while still delivering finished pieces that felt sharp and well put together.

Why This Project Worked
The campaign was not approached as a random collection of clips. It was planned as a connected series of videos with a clear purpose, a consistent tone, and a production process built around the campaign’s actual needs.
It also shows how creative problem-solving can make a real difference. Even without access to drone footage, the production still found a way to create a dynamic visual moment that supported the team’s vision. Combined with a streamlined shoot and editing built for social media, that helped turn a limited production window into a stronger overall campaign.
