A Rock Dubstep Song Mixup For An Animation Sizzle Reel Action Narrative

This short audio clip was created for an animation pilot/sizzle reel that I can’t tell you too much about yet. I’m a big fan of the band Pendulum and it was my first shot at creating an original rock dubstep song which I have been wanting to do for awhile.

William Walsh played guitar on the track and we created it several years ago just messing around doing rough sketches. I recently rediscovered it while looking around at past projects and realized what a gem it could be. So, I arranged and tightened it up thinking it would be a good fit for the action segment of the animation. The song needed to be more intense and dirty, so I asked for the help of EDM producer Viper who helped remix it, and came through with the big nasty bass and drums! I’ve got a longer version of it, but it’s not quite ready to be released in it’s entirety.

Thanks to Viper and William Walsh for contributing their awesome skills and knowledge! I hope to do more collaborations with these guys in the future. It was recorded and created it in Steinberg Cubase and I can’t wait to tell you more about the animation project it’s for!
