101KGB Sky Show XL Sizzle Reel (40th Anniversary Promo Video)
Here’s a promotional video for the 101KGB Sky Show XL, the largest annual fireworks display west of the Mississippi, held in San Diego. This spectacular event blends synchronized fireworks, music, and video, all broadcast live on the radio. Originally invented by 101KGB over 40 years ago, this unique art form has become a global phenomenon.
The video was created using Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition, with collaboration from the station’s Marketing Director. It was shot with a Sony HDR-AX2000, featuring audio from the station’s talented imaging and voiceover team.
The video’s purpose was to support 101KGB, an iHeartMedia station, in generating revenue and engaging listeners. The 101KGB Sky Show XL dazzled audiences on September 5, 2015, following the SDSU Aztecs vs. USD football game at Qualcomm Stadium.
