My Latest Adventure In Artificial Intelligence Art Includes Using 3D Fractals As Inspiration.

We're living in exciting times and artificial intelligence is evolving so quickly! It's a bit scary, to be honest. Stable Diffusion has helped speed up the process of creating images through AI and the results are mind-blowing!

Because the web is so saturated with the boom of AI art, I wanted to use the tool but give it my own unique style by processing art I’ve created over the years.

ABOUT THE PROCESS:

In a nutshell, I feed my 3D fractal art (created with Mandelbulber or Mandelbulb 3D) to Stable Diffusion and use detailed text prompts to process the image to create a certain mood or style.

Stable Diffusion is a latent text-to-image diffusion model capable of generating photo-realistic images given any text input, cultivates autonomous freedom to produce incredible imagery, empowers billions of people to create stunning art within seconds. – via stablediffusionweb.com

The init image (the 3D fractal art) helps with composition, color, and styleIt’s the image you feed to Stable Diffusion that builds on top of it by adding noise. It can be anything!

I also run a local copy of the AI art generator on my own computer using Stable Diffusion AUTOMATIC1111 web UI found on GITHUB. You’ll need a somewhat beefy machine and an NVIDIA GPU to run this.

Below are some quick videos of a hypothetical Burning Man that takes place in the year 2030 I put together. All of the images were generated using the process above.

And here are example images including what I used to create the videos. (More to come!)

If you made it this far, thanks for stopping by and looking! I'll be updating this page soon with more examples. So, be sure to check back soon.
